Subject: NRC Computer Policy staff job

I just had a conversation with Herb Lin, who is in the Computing
and Telecommunications office of the National Research Council.

Their office is looking for another staff member. The job involves
managing research projects on policy issues such as computers
and privacy. It's a typical Washington think tank - independent,
policy-oriented, interesting folk. NRC studies can carry quite a bit
of weight in Congress, so this could be a chance to help influence
national policy.

The job will start this spring or summer. It would be appropriate for
a recent Ph.D. or junior faculty member interested in moving into
the policy arena.

If you know anyone who might be interested, have him/her call Herb at
202-334-3191.
