There wass an interesting article on page 3 of Section E on unemployment in
science. It concluded with a provocative  statement

"That raise another question, Dr Goodman writes in the Amercian Scolar:
"Congress and the american public don't seem yt to have noticed that, hile
largely ignoring our own students, we are putting our money and our best
talent into training our economic competitors" "
