#7 Truth in Advertising

In YSN #1315, Jay Banks writes,

All I ask for is a little truth in advertising. If the state agency or
the employer himself is advertising a job for legal reasons and not
because there is any intention of actually hiring someone who answers
such an ad, they could make such a statement at the bottom of the ad.
Lacking that, I would like to ask the American Physical Society to
either refrain from publishing such ads in Physics Today, or to
require such a statement as a condition for running the ad.
