GORE PLEDGES NII SUPPORT. VP Gore participated in the 1993 Technology
Summit via satellite November 4, and announced administration plans to push
through legislation to expedite development of a national information
infrastructure. At the same meeting Secretary Ron Brown announced that the
Department of Commerce will establish videoconferencing centers in Santa
Clara, Calif. and Washington, DC to facilitate an ongoing dialogue between
