the following quote from an email message just captures the essense of
gobbldy-gooky standards language.  No wonder we all have trouble understanding
each other.




I am still active in the core activities of the OIW OSE-TC where we
are now embarked on adopting a coexistence/convergence profile to be
added to the other OIW Implementor Agreements which are the standards
base for US GOSIP and IGOSS.


The new profile will no doubt just be a listing of the IETF/IAB
Proposed/Draft/Full adopted standards in the STD series of RFCs.
There is no point, nor desire, to modify or further profile the
IETF/IAB adopted Internet Standards.
