hmm.  was reasonably intelligent reading considering how many buzz
words it contained (multimedia, ecological etc.).  was a rather German
version of NII:  emphasis on competitiveness, and the examples included
a fair number of mundane "increased efficiency" items, along with a modest
number of the police- and paperwork stuff.


the "information highway" was used only as an explanatory analogy.
("... sort of like connecting a highway to a local road ...")
