"Unconfirmed reports suggest that Siemens AG is considering
taking a 51% stake in Bellcore while the Bell regional holding
companies collectively would hold the remaining 49%.
Van Cullens, senior vice president of marketing and business
development at Siemens Stromberg-Carlson, would neither confirm
nor deny the rumors.  Bellcore could not be reached at press
time."
