By 1997, the total Internet market -- including software, hardware and
services -- will reach $4.2 billion, according to estimates by Goldman,
Sachs & Co.  Sun Microsystems, whose computers comprise 56% of Internet
servers, is moving aggressively to capitalize on its position, and is
developing a prototype of an "interactive" Web browser that can launch
