There is a questionnaire which was put out by the Bureau of
Export Administration (Department of Commerce) which is
meant to provide information to feed into the Clinton
Administration's study of the competitiveness of U. S.
companies in the international market for computer software
with encryption.


They are asking for pertinent information relang to software
which contains cryptography, including password protection,
data encoding, etc, including mass market software for which
encryption is not the primar function.


Survey questionnaires are meant to be completed and returned by
15th April; the instructions indicate that any information will
be better than none.  The 'burden' is estimated at 3 hours.
