Vint Cerf is the 1996 recipient of the ACM SIGCOMM Award for lifetime


contributions to the field of data networking and will be the keynote


speaker


at the ACM SIGCOMM '96 Conference on August 28th at Stanford 


University,


Palo Alto, USA.




SIGCOMM will be transmitting Dr. Cerf's speech via the MBONE and over


cable


TV in the Bay Area on Stanford Cable Channel 51 at 9 AM Pacific Time on


the 28th.




Previous recipients of the SIGCOMM Award include Paul Baran, Dave 


Clark,


Dave Farber, Bob Kahn and Len Kleinrock.
