More than 200 New England businesses experienced a four-hour Internet
blackout Thursday evening after an explosion knocked out electrical power
in the Boston area.  One person was killed in the blast, which overloaded a
panel switch at MIT, causing a fire and cutting off Internet access to BBN
Planet customers.  Access resumed around 10:00 in the evening.  The speed
with which the incident happened made it impossible to reroute traffic,
