From: "Janet Cooperman"<JCooperm@nas.edu>
The National Research Council's Academy Industry Program is sponsoring a
Forum on Imaging and Visualization on October 29-30, 1997 in Irvine,
California. As you will see from the agenda below, we have an outstanding
array of speakers and topics. Wm. A. Wulf was a member of the planning
committee for this Forum. I am writing to ask if you might post this on
your Interesting People list. The purpose of the Forum is to examine, in a
forward-looking manner, the emerging technologies and broad applications of
imaging and visualization that cut across industry sectors. Registration
information is included at the bottom of this message. For further
information, please call 202/334-2431. Thank you in advance for your help.

Revised Preliminary Agenda
(confirmed speakers in bold)
The Academy Industry Program of the National Research Council is
sponsoring this forum on imaging and visualization to examine, in a
forward-looking manner, the emerging technologies and broad applications of
imaging and visualization that cut across industry sectors. The forum will
bring together technologists and practitioners with experience in different
aspects of imaging and visualization technologies for the purpose of
mutually informing one another and creating new knowledge and bold new
ideas. A primary objective will be to achieve cross-fertilization among
people working across technical and application boundaries within industry,
academe and the federal government.
