Dear IPers:


DARPA has released its Broad Agency Announcement for=20
funding of research on advanced networking technology as
part of the Administration's Next Generation Internet initiative.


Congress approved $42 million for DARPA's portion of the=20
NGI - overall funding will probably be $85-$95 million out of
the $105 million the Administration requested for FY98.


A pre-proposal briefing will be held on October 31, 1997.
