I first read about this on Thursday, 29 January. The next day, I contacted
Johnson Space Center's chief, Dr. John Lawrence, regarding this alleged
'computer problem.' His quote says it all: "This was a marvelous piece of
fiction." Apparently, even NASA knows better than to depend on a Microsoft
operating system for a mission-critical application such as an onboard
experiment. - --A
