Subject: IP: A definition -- re: The Last Bug


Gad, I keep forgetting much of the younger generation has never had to deal with IBM punch cards.hese cards held programs and data, when they were not ripped apart by bad card readers and one taalked about columns and rows. One usually put the cards into a reader 9 edge -- the bottom of the card into the reader ( I forget whcih way -- long long time)  with the face of the card away from you. So all programmers of that day were buried 9s edge face down
