Sorry for the confusion, but obviously your first note is correct.  You are
right to question this "sea change" in handling information on the Net.  It
appears that cable is going with only "warnings" but that our editor in
chief will have his finger on the 'seven second delay" button.  Very
strange.  I wasn't in on the dicussions surrounding this, but I'll be
asking questions.
