Why:

To protest the recently passed house bill HR1291 which frees the internet 
at large from regulation, but allows the FCC to regulate internet 
telephony. This is important to you, not only because there may soon be no 
such thing as a free phone call, but also because your ISP may begin 
monitoring your internet connection for voice traffic in order to charge 
you properly. The Internet Freedom Rally is both promoting privacy on the 
internet and attempting to keep internet telephony free!
