Subject: IP: re: teleportation?

Richard--- Just to set the record straight, sending messages without sending particles (or faster than the speed of light) is exactly what you CAN'T do with quantum entanglement. Entanglement produces apparent violations of causality, known as the EPR paradox, but you can't transfer info that way; the laws of quantum mechanics forbid it. Reporters often get this wrong. Not that they aren't doing good things in Aarhus...but entangling a trillion particles is one thing, entangling them in a specific way (and reading the state), which is what you want for quantum computing, quite another. ---your loyal debunker, Pete
