But despite these tough times, the market for home networking equipment and associated technology has actually accelerated over the past 12 months. Still, it is likely that in the long term the recent surge in interest in home networking will continue. According to research by Cahners In-Stat/MDR, signs on both the supply side and the demand side show an increase in home networking. In a recent survey of US households, In-Stat/MDR found the number of households claiming to have home networks is about one-third higher than last year.
