Mike Wendland chased down a story about a series of Internet sites
reputed to contain secret messages for terrorists, exposing the report
as being built on less than solid evidence. It's the latest in a series
of hoaxes, false reports and wildly speculative rumors that have created
a climate of fear and uneasiness.
