Makes sense to me.  Government-subsidized broadband for the poor makes
about as much sense as government-subsidized color TVs and VCRs.  People
can get along just fine without broadband, whether rich or poor.  The
fact that so many people who can easily afford broadband choose to do
without it ought to tell you just how dispensable it is for most people.
