No one disputes that listening in on such conversation would yield results, in the same way that allowing broad wiretapping powers to the government will reveal more crimes. Hell! lets just repeal the Bill of Rights, too many criminals are getting off because of it. When the Bill of Rights was conceived, the proudly stated goal was to actually let a hundred guilty men go free rather than imprison one innocent man.
