Yesterday, ITU released that Hong Kong (China) is # 1 in its Mobile/Net
index:

Korea is #7 and Japn is # 20.

As for broadband, Korea is #1 in penetration and HK is# 2.

The data in my paper is end of 2001, and HK reached 820,000
users, 12% of population as of August 2002.

I visited HK at the end of August and met several players
there, thus I can attest that.

East Asia is seemingly leading the rest in terms of mobile and
BB.
