I purposely deleted the from on this one NOT by request. I find such
behavior less than tolerable. What have we started to become? Does this type
of behavior really insure our safety!!??

BTW this is from a friend whose reputation is beyond question.

Dave (FYI)-- leaving Newark on 12/20 my daughter and I were
unfortunately not surprised to see a less-than-one-year-old infant
pulled from the security line just ahead of us and given the full
treatment: her thin leather no-sole shoes pulled from her feet, as she
kicked and screamed (in terror, if that's an allowable word for it), by
two wand-wielding technicians. Fortunately everybody (except the baby)
seemed to have a healthy sense of humour about the situation and after
a few minutes mom and baby were on their way. Safe--but from what????
