An official of South Korea-based Samsung was quoted in press reports as saying, "Microsoft has put a lot of effort into promoting their operating system, but the product was not perfect and was not well-received. They have tried to push the operating system in the European market but have not been successful." Samsung is the third-largest maker of wireless phones.
