I wanted to thank the various IPers who helped me with research for my
article on the controversy around calling CDMA2000 1x 3G.  It's taken a long
time, but I think I've gotten to the bottom of why it's so controversial,
and straightened out what it really takes to be 3G. It's all related to the
ongoing feud between GSM boosters and CDMA boosters.
