This intersection has already yielded results of significant cultural and economic value, including innovative architectural and product designs, computer animated films, computer music, computer games, interactive art installations, cross-cultural experimentation, and Web-based texts. However, many opportunities for new collaborative ventures remain to be explored. Further information about the study may be found at <http://www.cstb.org/project_creativity.html>. The study that produced _Beyond Productivity_ and this symposium are sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation. Alan S.
