Japan Net Bank's trading disrupted by computer failure

TOKYO ? Japan Net Bank, an Internet-only bank, said its online transactions
were paralyzed Monday due to computer failure.

The unit of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp said it believes the failure was
caused by a surge in access to its web site. Transactions likely
concentrated on Monday following the weekend and ahead of Tuesday, which is
a national holiday in Japan, bank officials said. (Kyodo News)
