Subject: Letter from the French Ambassador

The French US embassy site now has the text of the letter [1] from the
French Ambassador to Congressmen, Administration Officials and media
representatives.  It lists eight examples of serious accusations
against France that appeared recently and were reported as being based
on information from "anonymous administration officials."  As I heard
the growing stream of accusations over the past three weeks, I began
to have strong doubts about France's actions and motives.  Now I am
afraid it may have been a disinformation campaign aimed to influence
US citizens.  And paid for by their taxes.
