I wanted to let you know that People For Internet Responsibility (PFIR)
is pleased to announce that the "PFIR Forums" discussion board:

   http://forums.pfir.org

is now available for public access.  PFIR Forums supports
new moderated discussion forums and working groups dealing
with a range of issues relating to technology and its impact
on society.

The initial category to get things rolling is e-mail issues, problems,
and solutions.  Spam, security, authentication, and PFIR's "Tripoli"
e-mail proposal -- to name just a few related topics -- are all fair
game for discussion.

The ability of this effort to provide useful contributions in the
ongoing debates about these complex matters is dependent on folks
actively joining the discussions -- IPers and anyone else interested
are cordially invited to participate.
