Subject: [IP] Interpol chief says warez/music piracy supports terrorism
------ Forwarded Message From: "David P. They are also claiming in widely distributed documentary radio programs (featured on NPR at least once) that "snuff pornography" is an international conspiracy that can be controlled by face recognition technology that can reliably scan all images on the Internet to match faces with the subjects of pornographic films. They are calling for unprecedented power to spy on all content served on the Internet to counter this alleged menace. Since Interpol doesn't serve under much scrutiny, and has almost no accountability, it's a potential great place for the paranoid to carry out their own "government-sponsored" terrorism over private citizens. This new piece worries me even more. ------ End of Forwarded Message ------------------------------------- To manage your subscription, go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ip Archives at: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
