Subject: [IP] more on Spy ... by sending an e-Greeting (NOT egreetings.com)
Date: Sun, 14 Sep 2003 19:40:09 -0400 (EDT) From: Rich Wiggins <wiggins@msu.edu> Subject: [IP] Spy ... by sending an e-Greeting (NOT egreetings.com) To: Dave Farber <dave@farber.net> Cc: bobr@bobrosenberg.phoenix.az.us Dave, You may want to clarify that Bob is using the term "e-Greeting" as a generic, referring to one (or more) unsavory vendors engaging in the spyware scheme he describes. He is not (one presumes) referring to a popular site in the business, egreetings.com. I've used them numerous times to send greetings, and there's no evidence that they engage in these practices, so far as I know. /rich >>Date: Sat, 13 Sep 2003 23:45:40 -0700 >>From: bobr@bobrosenberg.phoenix.az.us >>Subject: Spy on Anyone by sending them an e-Greeting Card. >>X-Originating-IP: 68.3.251.41 >>To: dave@farber.net >> >> >>Dave >> >>Aren't "they" getting cute! >> >>You receive an e-Greeting card.
