Hi Dave -

If you can have 16 channels, you can have 16,000.  The MIT LAMP
is great adaptive technology for a campus.  It uses the existing
copyright provisions to allow people (on campus) to listen to
the music they want.  No big deal to extend the system so each
student gets their own channel.  How is that different from
Napster et. al.?

I think MIT LAMP is a brilliant short-term solution/hack.  It
solves a real problem.  Since the long-term solution (much more sensible
copyright laws) appear to be on the very distant horizon, the
authors should be congratulated for getting a real solution
"on the air."
