Subject: [IP] Professorships at Oxford Internet Institute
Delivered-To: dfarber+@ux13.sp.cs.cmu.edu Date: Wed, 29 Oct 2003 10:13:00 -0800 From: Barbara Simons <simons@acm.org> Dear Dave and Declan, I'd appreciate it if you would post this announcement to your lists. PLEASE CIRCULATE. The Oxford Internet Institute (OII) is searching for candidate for two new professorships, one in Internet Governance and Regulation <http://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/ps/gp/current/http002.shtml>, and one in Society and the Internet <http://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/ps/gp/current/http003.shtml>. The deadline for applying is Nov. 24, 2003. While the descriptions call for "social, behavioural, or policy scientists" for the Internet Governance professorship, and social scientists for the Society and the Internet professorship, the OII will consider qualified candidates from other fields, eg computer science. I have cc'ed Prof. William Dutton, Director of the OII, on this note. Prof. Dutton has told me that if anyone who is thinking of applying has questions regarding his or her qualifications, that person should contact him at <william.dutton@oii.ox.ac.uk>.
