Subject: [IP] more on Armed Pilot's Gun Goes Missing
From: "Kamman, Stephen" <Stephen.Kamman@us.cibc.com> The TSA locks won't protect most luggage anyway. A quick screwdriver pry will separate the zipper pull (and attached lock) from the actual zipper mechanism. You open the bag, take what you want, re-connect the zipper pull (or don't), and send it on its way. You get your bag with the zipper pull dangling uselessly from its lock and lighter by any easily tradeable goods. Send enough bags through the notoriously sticky fingered Miami Airport international-flight baggage handlers and you learn to stop locking them. Otherwise, you just end up with stolen items AND broke zipper pulls. Better to just put valuables in your carry on.
