This is possibly for IP if you wish.

TV stations in Flint MI (eg WJRT TV-12) received a fax last week,
indicating that it is illegal to hire transport, to help able-bodied
people get to the polls. The specific law has to do with restrictions
on inducing people to vote, by paying them, etc.

Michigan Election Law, Act 116 of 1954
Section 168.931  Prohibited conduct; violation as misdemeanor;
"valuable consideration" defined.
Paragraph 1(f):  A person shall not hire a motor vehicle or other
conveyance or cause the same to be done, for conveying voters, other
than voters physically unable to walk, to an election.
