8-Year-Old Basic Law May Be Outdated Already

The New York Times reports that lawmakers and industry executives are  
talking about rewriting the eight-year-old landmark law governing the  
nation's telephone, cable and media businesses next year because, they  
say, it has already become outdated by new technology and industry  
trends.
