Of course, this sounded familiar - Amit Yoran resigned in 2004. ACM Tech
News picked up today's MSNBC article, which was removed within the  
day. At
first, I thought this was déjà vu all over again, but it must have  
been an
honest mistake. This is what ACM sent, AP cite and today's date:

Giving just one day of notice, the U.S. government's cybersecurity chief
resigned from the Department of Homeland Security after holding the  
post for

Today's news covers the new cybersecurity chief (Andy Purdy), about  
his pay
differential with Chertoff. He is "on loan" from CMU - will he quit  
as well?
