I would guess this new client, if indeed real, was only possible through the great work of two EADS emplyees, Philippe Biondi and Fabrice Desclaux, who presented their remarkable results, "Silver Needle in the Skype" <http://www.blackhat.com/html/bh-media-archives/ bh-archives-2006.html>, a few months ago at BlackHat Europe.

Even if the Chinese depended on the French work as the basis for their re-engineering, making this all happen in just about four months is a major achievement in itself.

Unfortunately, little seems to be known about this alleged client, but it could be real...
