Subject: [IP] more on Rude TSA personnel; uneven liquids policies
Begin forwarded message: From: Scott W Brim <swb@employees.org> Date: October 16, 2006 10:19:45 AM EDT To: David Farber <dave@farber.net> Cc: ip@v2.listbox.com Subject: Re: [IP] more on Rude TSA personnel; uneven liquids policies This is just whining. See tsa.gov. The policy is clear: containers more than 3 fluid ounces are not allowed. A larger container is not allowed unless it is for one of the allowed substances, and is declared (there is a form). If you don't like the policy please try to change it but complaining to the local TSOs that they are enforcing the policy wastes everyone's time. On the other hand, if a local TSA station uses their discretion to go beyond TSA standard procedure, you have every right to question that decision, and probably should. For example some stations log people's names and flight numbers after hand inspection(!). By the way see the flyertalk "safety and security" forum <http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=222> for a vast amount of discussion on these topics. ------------------------------------- To manage your subscription, go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ip Archives at: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
