Dave, I particular like this part:
Phil Schiller, Apple's head of worldwide product marketing,
said yesterday that this was the first use of the name as a cell
phone, whereas Cisco's device is a cordless phone.
Let's see now, the Apple claim appears to be that there's no trademark infringement since the two devices use different protocols and frequencies, even though they're both clearly wireless phones. So I assume that this logic could also apply to allow for overlapping trademarks based on whether a phone is GSM, or CDMA, or WCDMA, or ... Talk about splitting hairs.
