Subject: [IP] Apple and Mac comment

But is that really a bad thing? I wonder what IP'ers would think.
True, Apple and Macs are getting much deserved attention...because of the iPod and the iPhone. And that's fine. If the way to keep Macs alive and thriving is by selling iPods and iPhones, all Mac users certainly like it. Almost anyone who uses a Mac appreciates the user interface, the design and, now the performance (Intel). A design that is even better with more buttons in that, old pesky one-button-mouse that once was almost a religious issue among Mac users. Which shows another need for the Mac and Apple, conversely, which is to bring innovation to IT in the same way that other IT designs brought innovation to the Mac. The performance also benefited from other IT designs, and economy of scale. And locked-in devices will always exist. There is a need for them, if nothing else justto break into new markets. Steve Jobs found this out with iTunes, which
changed the way people buy music. Best, Ed Gerck ------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed as galvin@eListX.com To manage your subscription, go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ipArchives at:
