Professor Farber, also wanted to note that this 'feature' makes it  
very dangerous for me to forward IP mail to the blog I maintain for  
my Information Technology students (http://infotechbuzz.blogspot.com)

I very nearly did that this morning and just barely noticed it before  
hitting send...  Had I done so, any one of my readers could have  
unsubscribed me with one click, either accidentally or as a prank.

Can we get pobox to make this opt-outable?

bottom of every message.

So, what is happening is that some person has decided it would be fun
to go to the archive and click that link at the bottom.  Thus, the
archive keeps getting removed from the mailing list.

"Support" at Pobox suggested I install a filter to remove the trailer
from messages.

I will do this but I just haven't finished yet.  I also have to clean
up all the existing archives too.

So, I'm collecting messages but they are not going in to the archive
online unfortunately.
