The discussion of Facial Recognition is ping-ponging between the merits
of various False Acceptance and False Rection rates (FAR or FRR).
However the accepted metric of the success of a biometric system is the
Crossover Error Rate (CER), the point on a graph where these two lines
cross.

As you increase the sensitivity of the system, the number of False
Accepts will drop (you'll permit fewer Wanted Persons to pass by), but
the number of False Rejects rises (you'll detain more innocent
people).

Discussing the merits of a biometric system in terms of only either the
FAR or FRR is misleading, to put a generous face on it.
