media consolidation, one day before the comment deadline,
with only 5 days warning to his own commissioners,
and none to the public:

Jesse Jackson, National Organization of Women, United Church of Christ,
Future of the Media Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives; they
all protested.

Martin even has the Parents Television Council against him.

But this is the same chairman and the same FCC that pushed through
the AT&T-Bellsouth merger at the last minute last December.
