if the perception develops that some consumer electronic equipment
is "pre-compromised" during production, that could have
profound consequences for Asian manufacturers and ODMs.
(and interesting opportunities for other geographies
wishing to compete with them.) The same goes for the
sales channels of goods thought to be so afflicted.

one could even imagine manufacturing traceability
requirements for purchases by various governments,
agencies and businesses (which do not already require it).
