________________________________________ From: John Horrigan [jhorrigan@pewinternet.org] Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2008 10:30 AM To: David Farber Subject: Two from Pew Internet Dave: Of possible interest to IP readers -- a report we released yesterday on mobile access to data & applications, as well as a commentary on the implications of the report's findings. One thing to note in the findings is the demographic make-up mobile access users is very diverse. To the extent that diversity cultivates creativity, we see a vibrant user base of mobile users ready to create and share digital content - which adds another dimension to the importance of the rules of the game for the openness of wireless devices for outside developers. The report is called "Mobile Access to Data and Information", here: http://www.pewinternet.org/PPF/r/244/report_display.asp The commentary is called: "Seeding The Cloud: What Mobile Access Means for Usage Patterns and Online Content". It is here: http://www.pewinternet.org/PPF/r/245/report_display.asp Regards, John ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John B.
