Sometimes, they block information. But in some cases, they don't. For example, search at Google for "sergey larry sex sixteen" (without quotes). The top result is a bizarre allegation that Larry Page and Sergey Brin tried to pick up sixteen-year old girls for sex. The site is by a small-time criminal who uses it to blackmail companies. He creates pages that attack companies. If they pay him, he removes the page. Both Yahoo and Microsoft suppress that site, but Google does nothing about it. -------------------------------------------
