________________________________________ From: Colin Hill [hillct@scoophost.com] Sent: Sunday, July 06, 2008 10:21 AM To: David Farber Subject: contacts at AT&T Wireless Dave, A year or so ago, someone on the IP list mentioned that they had some high level contacts at AT&T they'd developed when dealing with the problem of monthly loss of data service on unlocked phones, apparently due to a network scan in which unlocked phones are erroneously locked out (not impacting voice service). Now that I've encountered this problem (every month for the past 4 months) I went through the list archive looking for the thread where this was mentioned (in the course of some other AT&T Wireless discussion) but I've had no luck locating it. In any case, having to call AT&T and explain what needs to be done, to at least two agents every month is becoming frustrating, so I wonder if folks on the list might have some contacts that might be able to help me resolve this more permanently (and I know, switching to T-Mobile would certainly get the job done but - short of that) I'd really appreciate any help. -- Colin Hill -- Scoophost.com - a service of Pinnacle Digital Scoop consulting and hosting services -------------------------------------------
