Ranked as one of the top 25 universities in the United States, Carnegie Mellon is a private research university with a distinctive mix of programs in computer science, robotics, engineering, the sciences, business, public policy, fine arts and the humanities. More than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students receive an education characterized by its focus on creating and implementing solutions to solve real problems, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovation. The ITSM program is a fourteen month, intensive, on-campus master's program designed to meet the needs of professionals who wish to gain the required skills while spending a minimum amount of time outside the workforce. The ITSM curriculum provides a comprehensive program integrating technology, management, and organizational strategy. It emphasizes the importance of, and interrelationships among, technology, management, and strategy for successful careers in the services industry. This program builds on Carnegie Mellon's strengths in the Institute for Software Research, the IT Services Qualification Center (ITSqc), and several years experience in teaching service management courses in the graduate programs.
